Kale - 100 grams
Kale, also called leaf cabbage, belongs to a group of cabbage cultivars grown for their edible leaves, although some are used as ornamentals. Kale plants have green or purple leaves, and the central leaves do not form a head.
Kale is well know for its anti-cancerous properties.
Roasting/ Microwaving (for 5-7 minutes) the leaves
with a little olive oil makes excellent Kale chips. An
excellent source of vitamin C, iron, vitamin A,
calcium, magnesium, potassium, protein,
carbohydrates and dietary fiber.
